Now if only I could be on vacation along with my reviews. This cabin buried in the mountains is looking pretty nice. 🙂

Confession Time:

Every book I pick up lately, I get a few lines in and want to set it aside. It doesn’t interest me, and in fact feels a little like homework right now. But the problem isn’t the books.

I’m exhausted.

Currently I have one MS I’m cutting small revisions into, one I’ll rip apart and bleed out here in a few weeks, and one I’m rewriting from the ground up. My husband and I have also learned that the owner of the house we’ve lived in for five years wants to sell. So, for the next six weeks, all my time will go toward packing up our lives.

I love to read in the evenings, but these days I don’t have the time. With too many life things demanding my attention, I’m going to take a few weeks away from the reviews. And all those books making me cross-eyed in the first few lines, I’ll try again soon to give each of those stories a fair shake. There are so many I’m dying to read, like the one Hilary @ Songs Wrote My Story sent me, which is still sitting on my desk glaring.

In the interim, if any of my readers stumble across a dark story with dragons and a hero/heroine romantic entanglement, shoot the title my way and I’ll add it to my Goodreads list. I’m mostly searching for anything darker, grimdark is fine, and where the hero/heroine don’t turn into dragons but have dragons as part of their world. I keep finding a giant hole in this particular set of parameters, and I wants. 🙂
