To celebrate 13 weeks of winter, Hàlön Chronicles will be conducting one interview a week for 13 weeks. We’ve also partnered with additional artists and authors for a few surprises throughout the winter. Join us on the hashtag #13Winterviews, or check out our blog hop for a sneak peek at who’s on the roster in the coming weeks.

1. First off, tell us a little bit about who you are and what type of books you write.

Hi, I am Lexi Miles, and I’m a romance author. I am a proud pup mom of two mischievous Yorkies. I am a huge fan of positivity, and I love it when I can help someone else smile. As far as writing, I fell in love with it from when I was a kid, and I still find that I fall more in love with it every day. I enjoy a good Netflix binge of TV shows. I enjoy music (all genres), making YouTube videos, pinning pins via Pinterest, baseball, bubble baths, cooking, and long walks on the treadmill (aka working out). (Giggles)

2. What projects are you working on these days?

I am working on a few romances. Two books (Wedding Nights and Blazing Winter) are a group of one-shots (short stories). The other four books out soon are a Romance Suspense (Run), a Vampire Romance (Galaxy’s Eyes), a Foodie Romance (Convince Me) and a Contemporary Romance (Too Much Trouble). I am having a lot of fun with all of the projects. I can’t wait for everyone to read them!

3. Do you have any strong social or political statements your work aims to represent?

I have no political statements in my work; however, I do have other statements included in my books. There is NO HATE whatsoever. They are all about love, acceptance, embracing who you are (flaws and strengths), and treating others with respect. There are honest moments of truth that are discussed regarding the nature of vile people and their unsavory tendencies. There are difficult situations that arise for the characters. The books address how love helps you navigate anything that comes your way and helps you find the strength within.

4. Who is your favorite dragon?

I have a few that I think are absolutely the cutest and most lovable Farloft (birthed by Theresa Snyder, Farloft Chronicles) and super menacing to me as a kid but loved him was Puff the Magic Dragon (of the Disney Electrical Parade). Along with those two, my absolute favorite dragon has got to be the biteable Luck Dragon Falkor who was Atreyu’s running mate (Neverending Story) Ohh-ohhh. (Had to sing the theme song there. Giggles.)

5. What is your favorite spaceship?

Okay, it is a timeship, but for today’s purposes since it does fly I believe it counts. I love the Waverider (Captain Sara Lance, Legends of Tomorrow). Outside of that, it would be the USS Enterprise (Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek).

6. Favorite wind-down-after-a-hard-day beverage?

Ice cold (lean in) raspberry lemonade with extra shot of grenadine to make it extra sweet or sparkling water. On cold nights I have been known to be friends with hot caramel chocolate from the Bucks aka Starbucks with extra whipped cream. Yum!
