Ilavani Cover Reveal

Greetings everyone 🙂

I’m so happy to announce that on 13th June, the first installment of Science Fantasy series ILAVANI will be available on Amazon.

So… confession time. I met author Kaelan Rhywiol in 2016 during PitchWars and she is both a wonderful person and a fantastic storyteller. Lucky enough to read an earlier draft of Ilavani, I fell onto a planet of beautifully diverse, genetically-modified characters far away from earth. Ilavani embraces a large cast immersed in a world of love, betrayal, war and intense sexuality. And Kaelan blends her world-building, romance and tension so beautifully that the story never stops pulling you deeper into its exotic mysteries.

Without further ado, crafted and designed by the authoress herself, the cover for Ilavani and details on where you can...

Why I’m So Quiet These Days

Hi everyone! 🙂

I’ve been a bit on the silent side the last few weeks, both on social media and with any non-work related emails. It started out as a writer break (the first I’ve taken in over a year) to give my brain a rest. From there, the avalanche of life decided to take some hard left turns. Normally at such junctions, I go outside and enjoy the sunshine, work in my garden, do some active exploration to get my head clear. Of course, Washington State decided to give spring and summer a miss this year and head straight into fall, so there is no warmth or sunshine to go outside and play in.

Or, there wasn’t until a few days ago. I digress…

Taking a break had the reverse effect I was hoping for...

Top Ten Of The Most Unique Books I’ve Read

Alright, I’ve never done one of these Top Ten Tuesday posts from The Broke and the Bookish, but I figured this week would be a nice lead-in to get started. No promises that I’ll keep it up every week, but then again, you never know. 😉

These are in no particular order. In fact, I have no idea what’s going to end up on this list, so let’s hop on over to my Goodreads list and see what I’ve got buried there.

1. THE AXE AND THE THRONE

This book is killing me. Dark, gritty, strong prose, really right up my alley. What’s unique is that there’s at least 7 different POVs in the first 15% of the book. I’m a little bit past there and there’s more. Some killed off after 1 chapter through their eyes. While 2-3 POVs is my personal preference, I’m definitely enjoying the story...

#RevMyBio – K. J. Harrowick

Hi there 🙂

Let’s talk about Dragons. Because, why not? But first, here’s a little bit about who I am:

I’m a novel writer from the Pacific Northwest. Fantasy and Science-Fiction are my bread and butter. Wait… let me rephrase that. ADULT Fantasy and Science-Fiction are my woobie. While I’ve been known to read everything from tech articles to Jane Austin, my true passion is in dark, gritty stories exploring the boundaries of morality and the human psyche.

So, needless to say, I write adult books – sex, magic, swords & spaceships. My characters tend to be older, emotionally (and sometimes physically) tormented, with lives that they’ve already lived, and destroyed. These stories are about second chances, sometimes even third and fourth...
